The Consulate of Canada in Munich is seeking an:
International Business Development Officer (m/f/d) - Anticipatory
Reporting to the Vice Consul, the officer will have responsibility over several sectors (including digital industries and information and communications technologies), and will contribute to the broader delivery of the IBD (International Business Development) program at the mission and as part of the Germany-wide team. This position requires the ability to work constructively and positively with three other officers who will share various sub-sectors within the information and communication technologies sector – meaning there will be shared responsibilities and accountabilities.
The position is indeterminate and full-time (37.5 hours per week). The annual starting salary is 54,338 Euros gross plus a 13th months salary and an employer’s contribution to the pension plan. In addition, the incumbent receives 30+1 days of leave (30 days of vacation and one floating day) for a 5 days working week. Overtime is paid out/taken in lieu and the incumbent receives ongoing yearly salary increases given succeeded performance reviews.
Essential qualifications include a higher education degree (minimum Bachelors) in a business related field, at least two years of work experience out of the past five years in promoting international business development, either in the public or the private sector, experience in organizing commercial or business events and experience in working with standard office software such as Microsoft Office.
The ideal candidate has also experience in using client management software, a professional fluency in English and German (oral and written) and an intermediate knowledge of French (oral and written).
